I'm a deeply passionate, wholly enveloped musician who lives for the love of music. I absolutely love teaching others, however my golden strength is my ability to read my students from a lifelongs-experienced side, while fully understanding their difficulties to the most finite degree, no matter how frustrating and daunting the art of music can be- and teaching in the direction THEY wish.
Creating music fueled by passion and the desire to express the otherwise ineffable emotions is the most powerfully freeing experience I think anyone can have, and it's my joy to enable others to enjoy it
As the kid who always had a knack for useless facts, and an insatiable sponge for a brain needing to know how and why the world works- I have always been someone to share a little know how, and I know how to instill these things in an exciting way- whether it be a subject I've spent years filling my head with almost useless facts about things like the weird world of quantum physics, or my silly excitement in important, yet otherwise useless facts that might make ya think.
I consider myself more of a link in passing know how, rather than 'teacher'
My methods vary student to student- we all learn differently and my objective is to find what works, wether it be a quick demonstration, or a complete breakdown right to the fundamentals. No student is too slow nor incapable.
One of the things I really keep my eye on is technique- nothing is more detrimental to a student's progress than poor technique and adaptation! I can quickly spot these future difficulties, and help the student develop the proper means and WHY -with encouragement and positive reinforcement!
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs...
