I am a music aficionado, a very passionate and motivated piano instructor and I love sharing my passion with my students. Classically trained in Europe, mostly in Paris, France, my most inspiring teacher was 1st prize at the age of 14. Then I studied with teachers from Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Russia. I received the National Diploma of Music in Piano Pedagogy from the French Department of Arts and Culture. And I was regularly invited to perform for public concerts for various music festivals. I love Bach, Mozart, Beethoven but my favorite composers are Frederic Chopin, Felix Mendelssohn, and Tchaikovsky
My teaching experience dates back to my college days, when I was offered a teaching position as a piano instructor in an academy of music. I have consistently taught the piano for 15 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points which help students -especially younger ones- to progress and develop a passion for the piano. My students are encouraged to enter competition and recitals so they can stay focused and motivated to learn. My goal is always to help my students have a solid pianistic foundation while having a lot of fun.
The key is to always to make sure that my students have a solid foundation in pianistic techniques and fundamentalsand then introduce the adequate repertoire while taking into account their sensitivity. I often use a combination of classical and modern music in order to motivate my students to practice and continue to learn while keeping the lessons engaging, challenging, and fun.
One of the most important aspects of teaching, is certainly to help my students develop a passion for music in general and in the piano in particular. Therefore, it's vital that my students progress at their own pace. Setting realistic goals for them, giving them the means to reach these goals, challenging them reasonnably, and acknowledging their accomplishments are the main ingredients of a wonderful, fulfilling, and enjoyable musical journey.
