Overview:
I am a very passionate musician, with a love for passing on the gift of music. I graduated from Shepherd University in 2012 with a BA in Voice Performance. I then went on to complete an MM and GPD in Opera from The Longy School of Music of Bard College. During my degree programs, I was able to study and sing around the world with many leading performers and teachers. I have been teaching for over ten years, and it brings me so much joy to be able to help my students find their musical voice.
EXPERIENCE
My teaching experience began while I was an undergraduate at Shepherd University. I have continued teaching throughout my degree programs, and am an active technician in the South Miami area. I have taught at several music schools, as well as teaching privately in my own home studio. I recently started to offer online lessons as well. I am also a full time instructor at The New World School of the Arts.
METHODS USED
I will customize each lesson to each individual. Lessons will include breath and support work, vocalise exercises to work on vowels, flexibility, etc, music theory, and repertoire.
LESSON STYLE
My teaching style is to find what works for each student. I am very passionate about music, and I want you to enjoy taking lessons, while learning new skills. I will set realistic goals for each student throughout our time together, and this will help them to monitor their progress. Nothing excites me more than seeing a student succeed!
