I have also made many appearances with orchestras, chamber ensembles and as a soloist throughout Europe and Radio Broadcasts in Eastern Europe. Among other venues and events, I've performed at the International University City in Paris, Chopin Piano Festival in Prishtina and Church of Saint Paul the Apostle in Manhattan, New York. I've also performed at the Symphony Space in New York.
EXPERIENCE
I have taught Piano and Chamber Music classes at the University of Prishtina, Kosovo. In the community of musicians, I am known as a reliable accompanist on the Piano for Singers, Flutists and Clarinet players. I am currently based in the New York City area and take an active part in the Music life there. I'm presently part of the teaching staff at the Stamford Music and Arts Academy. During this time, I teach the Piano and Music Theory privately throughout the Westchester County area and Lower Connectitut.
METHODS USED
For beginners, I like to use the Music Theory books from the "Royal Conservatory" as well as the Piano Books from the Same publisher. It is very important for me to adapt the teaching style to the character and abilities of the students. It is also important to focus on the weaknesses of the students and try to improve those parts as well. I believe that challenging a student with works slightly beyond their technical abilities is also a good way to stimulate faster progress and better creative results.
LESSON STYLE
Before focusing on technical issues of a piece, I like to dive into the styles of composers and explain to the student what sort of cultural background the music comes from. I also try to explain the importance of the theatrical aspect when it comes to performing on an instrument like the piano. I believe it is important to teach students what it means to offer the audience a complete artistic journey and an experience that will blow them away. I believe music is all about sharing and enlightening the sense of artistic beauty.
