I teach people how to love and understand music how to enjoy it creatively and professionally. I can teach you how to sing while playing an instrument, how to record your own songs and how to understand the theory of music. My favorite music has groove improv and polyphony. I can teach you simply to sing or go into all of musics amazing intricacies. I can also teach you the business side of music. How to copyright, publish, license etc. Or we can just learn your favorite Taylor Swift song! Lets have fun with music!
I've been teaching music on and off for almost 20 years I write my own songs and find this a good way to teach as well. I've had many great students, been in many great bands, never fame nor fortune but always fun and great music. My favorite moments are connecting to other people through music. Music is a language unto itself and the best music is a conversation. I've performed on stages around the world but the last few years I've focused on the art of recording and I'm currently building a studio to spend my time creating music and teaching.
I taylor each lesson to the individual students. But usually I give students the opportunity to find what they love and encourage them to explore that, expanding their understanding as they go. No two students are the same and should be taught the same. Some students require strict traditional methods but most need a playground of music to find their calling. Music is an expression of oneself and therefor as unique as our fingerprints. I think you will find you had no idea how amazing music really is
Like a said I teach as the student needs. But always fun and encouraging. Some of my best teachers are still my friends to this day so I hope to be the kind of teacher some one will always be an inspiration. Day one we will talk about music I might ask you to listen to some pieces and we can discuss them but we will immediately delve into music and what it means to you. Through a combination of listening playing and discussing you will not just learn your instrument but music as a whole. Lets begin!
