Overview:
From the culturally diverse arts community of Miami Florida, I have evolved as a sound musician specializing my findings in the genres of instrumental music and contemporary music production. In 2012, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Dual Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Tuba Performance and since I have been touring the world with various productions. I have also utilized my network and experience to helping other musicians translate musicianship for character building being an huge advocate for music's its neurological benefits. As a proud Tubist and brasswind specialist, I offer the highest level of advice and help.
EXPERIENCE
My passion for sharing knowledge begin during my time as high school tuba section leader, which led to Senior band president. Assisting my peers so we could sound better via musical corrections, this would build our confidence levels and the moral throughout the ensemble. I furthered my passion for music at Berklee College of Music, where I studied various aspects, methods, and approaches to educating someone about the art of music. The greater goal is to evolve as better people, and my perspective is that music can connect many dots for my students.
METHODS USED
I create a hands on curriculum based on the students musical proficiency. Alongside this structured lesson plan, every student will receive training on proper practicing techniques which help build their sense of guidance, responsibility, and structure. Students will also receive training for embouchure and tone development as well as warm up etudes that cater to the students skill level. Music theory and terms will be infused within the lesson plans to ensure my student's proper use of signs and symbols.
LESSON STYLE
My teaching approach begins by meeting the students where they are in regards to musical capability. We soon push the boundaries of what they think they are capable of and allows them to apply the music theory in real time. A consistent schedule, whether it be during our schedule lesson or a follow up email packet, is the distinctive difference in my lesson plans. This practice regimen should continue long after our scheduled lessons and should be one of many vital keys to your child's future successes.
