Hello I am a dedicated, motivated and organize piano teacher for beginner and intermediate student. I have two years experience teaching piano lessons for two beginner and intermediate piano students. I use to teach on the weekends and I love it. I've had experience playing for a Christmas concert for the adventist church. I use to play in different church services in Texas and it was amazing. I met different people from all ages and background. I am now the church pianist and I play for the church part time.
My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I became a self employed part time piano teacher for 2 years. I encourage my students of all ages to maintain a consistent daily practice schedule and to practice self care to avoid being overwhelm. I love to incorporate enjoyable, engaging, and hands on approach to learning the piano such as using different piano games, piano sticker, piano apps and piano coloring books to help the student learn while having fun. I am looking to have new students of all ages and ethnicities.
For beginning students of all ages, I will use Bastien Piano Basics Primer A books. Once to the student retain the information from the Bastien Piano Basics Primer A , I will progress to the Bastien Piano Basics Primer B books so the student can know the fundamentals of the piano. I will also have my students use different piano apps such as pianolytics, music companion and piano academy to help them practice with their piano theory. Finally, I will show my student the different songs the student need to know for their piano recital. I will make my lessons captivating and enjoyable for all ages and all level abilities.
I love to see piano students dedicated to music. I love to see piano students grow and to flourish. I help my students set reasonable, detail oriented goals and help the students achieve those goal in each lessons. I encourage students to learn at their own pace and with their own learning styles so the student can use what is best for them. It is also imperative to help the student succeed so the student can have the basic fundamentals of the piano and progress to become a successful pianist.
