Overview:
Hello my name is Luiggi and I’m a musician as well as music educator. I have played in several different groups ranging from styles such as rock, jazz, funk, blues, and hip hop. I have also composed my own music and I like to produce instrumentals. My main instrument is guitar but I also teach bass. As a teacher I have experience teaching young children, and young adults. My teaching philosophy is: Teach a student to enjoy and fall in love with the process of practicing and learning music, so that the student will be successful in any of their musical endeavors.
EXPERIENCE
I've been teaching music lessons for about two years. I have worked privately with two students in the past for over a year. I believe one of the most important parts of teaching is to make it fun and encouraging. I emphasize the idea of seeing continuous progress on their instrument. This motivates students to set higher goals for themselves and achieve them giving them confidence and joy. I believe the student receives the most value when their instruction is effective and rapid in helping them attain their goals. As a result, I formulate individual lesson plans tailored specifically to each student to help them reach their goals.
METHODS USED
I believe any student regardless of age has to learn the three fundamentals pillars of music to truly learn an instrument. Those foundations are: Harmony, rhythm, and melody. The way in which I go about teaching them or reinforcing them depends on the age, musical interest, and skill. Usually kids benefit the most from learning their favorite melodies, how to read music, and how to play some chords to play their favorite songs. Adults' can truly vary depending upon the kind of material they are interested in learning.
LESSON STYLE
As a teacher there's not a greater gift but to see students, specially younger students, progressing on their instruments and get better over time. To see younger students develop a passion for music is truly one of the greatest gifts you can give them. I believe the student receives the most value when their instruction is effective and rapid in helping them attain their goals. As a result, I formulate individual lesson plans tailored specifically to each student to help them reach their goals.

It's a little early to tell, but I think Luiggi will work out fine. He and Duncan get along well and the lessons appear to be fun. Luiggi is a great young man, always on time and conscientious about providing a great learning environment. He appears very knowledgeable and anxious to teach, for all the right reasons. The only reason for rating him at 4 stars, rather than 5, is that I want to have some room for higher praise after they've been together for a while.
