Greetings! I am excited to share my gift of teaching piano which includes music theory and performance to everyone most especially children. I was born in the Philipines and moved here in the US to pursue graduate studies. I have travelled around the world and have performed in Paris, Prague, Toronto, Mexico City, Manila, and here in the US. I am currently the director of worship and music at Christ evangelical Lutheran church in Goodyear. Pianist at Mt. Carmel Catholic church in Tempe and pianist at Brophy Prep.
My teaching experience started back in college. I am familiar with most method books and have an open mind if a parent has a strong preference on one. My philosophy in teaching is geared towards helping a student not only learn to play well, form good practice habits but most of all, able to THINK. I have a few pedagogy credits both in college and graduate school. I like the Faber and faber method books as well. I also wad trained in teaching suzuki method in piano ad well as traditional method.
I am knowledgeable with all methods and has an open mind.
