Overview:
I have had a great deal of experience with all ages and want to share my love for music with others. As long as the student is enjoying playing an instrument, progressing, my goal has been reached.
EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching music for over 35 years privately and in the public schools. I am currently the Director of Educational Services in the NYS school system. I have directed theatrical performances, conducted performing choruses, and implemented recreational programs at after school programs, senior citizen centers in New York and Israel.
METHODS USED
I adapt the method to the student. I usually use Nancy Faber series for the young child. I try to familiarize the student with different types of music so he/she is exposed to many styles and periods of musicand therefore, can choose what he/she prefers.
LESSON STYLE
My goal is to instill a love for music with all my students. Imodify my style and approach to the interests and skills of each student. No student is alike and therefore, no teaching approach is alike. As long as the student is enjoying playing an instrument, progressing, my goal has been reached.
