I am a dedicated instructor and take pride in the work that I do. Teaching my students, and seeing the progress they make throughout my time with them really brings me joy. In 1995 I was certified in music teaching in City College. I started playing with bands and traveling all over the world; and even played in Madison Square Garden here in New York. I’ve recorded with more than 300 different artists in Latin bands as well. I made music arrangements for many people like Manny Manuel, La Gran Manzana, Arena and many others. I recorded the piano to many songs and I did the sound track of “My Blue Heaven” the movie. I look forward sharing my knowledge with those eager to learn.
I began my music teaching career about 9 years ago in a small school in the Bronx. I then moved to Houston Texas in 2011 where I taught music in a middle school for 3 years. After that I was teaching in groove music school in sugar land. Currently, I teach online lessons from my home studio. I make sure the students and I have the equipment necessary in order for our lessons to move smoothly. I encourage students of all ages to learn with me. Whether beginners or advanced, I look forward to sharing my extensive knowledge in music.
When I teach children, I use the adventures piano lesson book. When I see that the student are advancing, I encourage them to further their knowledge. I make sure my students learn the scales; which are very important. I also use the Hanon book for exercises when my students begin to advance to a higher level of understanding. I have multiple pieces prepared for my students to play in order for them to be ready to play recitals. I make sure my students if they feel comfortable with me and the pace that we are going. I encourage all my students to reach their full potential, bringing their newly folund expertise to another level.
I have the luck of doing what I love for a living. The fact that I can help children and adults learn the instrument that I have played all my life, brings me true joy. I enjoy seeing my students go from beginners, who may sometimes be shy and uncomfortable about their lack of knowledge; to feeling proud, accomplished, and confidant when playing. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing the look on my students’ face’s when they finally reach that note that was so difficult when they first began my class. He is phenomenal. He level of expertise is amazing. I use him for all 6 of my daughters. They love him. He is very professional as well as very funny with the kids. Overall he is very patient when it come to teaching. My kids vary from ages 4 to 13 and they all look forward to more classes with him. I highly highly recommend him. He comes from a great music background playing along side so many big great Spanish artist in the music industry you just can't go wrong with him.
