I like teaching the students from the beginning stages of learning drums and emphases the importance of good standard reading and drum technique
My teaching methods for the beginning students who are children are start reading and drum technique methods. I use Fundamental studies for snare drums by Garwood Whaley for reading and the Stick Control book By George Lawrence Stone for drum technique, For adults, I find what they want to work on, make it fun and light so they enjoy the learning possesses through encouragement and agree on the next direction of where is the next step.
