Overview:
I am a great Guitar instructor. I always establish a good rapport with my students,because I REALLY love Music,,especially the Guitar. I have been playing Guitar for over 43 years,since my childhood,and it is still an obsession.There is nothing more important to me than to share my gift,and love of learning Music. I've performed publically as a member of bands,but mostly as a solo artist. I have also played duets.
EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching Guitar for the last seven years. I started by teaching my neighbor's children,when I lived in an apartment complex in Flowery Branch. When I attended University,I also taught some of my fellow college students.
METHODS USED
I usually start teaching Guitar chords,and the importance of "changing" chords. I encourage my students to practice on their own,in order to master these skills. Once the Guitar chords are established,we move on to songs,and then on to reading individual notes. From there we move on to Classical Guitar.
LESSON STYLE
I usually play a few different songs or pieces for my students,initially,then I try to find out what styles of Music the student enjoys. If a student really likes a certain song,it is easier to get the student to practice and master these songs.
