I am working at Community Music School at Michigan State University as a piano faculty member who teaches young and adult students in Lansing and Okemos area. I have had an active teaching experiences background, including CMS, and motivated students last 13 years as a self-employed instructor. Plus, I have a variety of experience at accompanying. I worked for competitors in Jeju International Brass Competition as an official pianist, 2008-2012, and I was an official accompanist at Roosevelt University (2012-2013) and pre-college division of Manhattan School of Music, 2013-2015. I am currently working at Michigan State University as an official accompanist for students and engaged to work at Manhattan in the Mountains Summer Festival as the official collaborative pianist since 2016.
For the beginning students who are children, I teach about 30 mins(theory 5-7mins) - 45 mins (theory 10mins), I focus on the fundamental skills of playing the piano and also the foundation of music theory. For the intermediate and advanced levels, I teach about 60 mins (theory ten mins, if required), mostly I listen what students prepared and give comments and advise how to practice and show my playing, so students can see how they can improve their skill efficiently and rapidly. For adults who want to enjoy playing the piano without any pressures, I can provide the music they want to learn, and let students know how to practice efficiently, and eventually they play what they wish to so soon.
My teaching style is different; it depends on what they eventually want from my lesson. I am very easy to students who want enjoy playing piano and not majoring, but if students have a goal as a pianist, I exactly know how students to do for this, and I can let them know, and they will improve soon. I have been teaching all of the achieved levels from young to adult, so I have seen so many cases produced what they want. Time is money!! So don's waste your time and save your time with me with efficient methods with hard working!
