I'm a very passionate teacher that love to teach. I'm a VPK teacher and love working with children, but most of all i love to teach to any age. My love for the music begings since i was 6 years old. When i graduated from th school of music, I start studing in the Interamerican University taking education classes. I play the piano at school to my students and I discover that they learn better with the music. They are more happy and calm. I'm graduated from the best School of Music in Puerto Rico and i performed in diferents schools in Puerto Rico showing classical music.
My teaching experiences start when I got in the Interamerican University. I help other students by giving tutoring in the fundamentals and theory of the music. After I finish my classes of education I work 2 years with the college by giving tutoring for those students that where starting to learn music or where having problems to understand. In the afternoon I had a few kids where i go to there houses and teach them piano. My goal is that when I'm teaching; the student feel happy. I believe that when the student in happy he/she is having fun. There is no problem to have fun when you are learning something new, the person enjoy more and they get interest of taking new challenges. Once a year I like to have little concerts, it is a good way to have little concerts so the students get confident to play the instrument in front other people and also the parents or family can see there progress. I love when to look at my students and they look so happy playing the piano, for me i know that they are having a good time and they also have feelings for the music.
For the begining for those students that they don't know music i teach them the basic, for example i start with the rhythm and after the fundamentals. They are going to learn how to read simple notes. Once they have a grasp of the fundamentals they are ready to be introduce into the piano. For the students that already know the concept and how to play the instrument, I ask where they are and I continue to provide them more so they can continue in there progress.
There in nothing better to see your students progresses and develop a love and passion for the music. It's so important that the students feel happy, pace, confident and safe. I help them by talking to them and setting goals in every class. I get to know them, about what they want and what they need; this way is easier to complete every goal and makes students to have more challenges of learning more and more.
