I graduated from Boston University with my Bachelor's Degree in Voice Performance. During my time there I had the incredible opportunity to perform multiple times in Boston Symphony Hall, as well as performing in operas and recitals. I have traveled to Morelia, Mexico to perform in Verdi's Falstaff in the role of Meg, and throughout my performing career so far I have been blessed to study under very successful and talented teachers, and I want to pass on that knowledge and passion I've learned to the next generation of young musicians.
I have had the amazing opportunity to study under many experienced teachers with many different methods and strategies. I would strive to combine all the best methods I've learned and succeeded with to pass on to the next young singers just starting out. I am passionate and motivated to share my love of music and singing to those just beginning in this industry. It's important to focus on the fun and spirit of singing as well as developing a strong technical foundation. I am excited to meet new students who are eager and excited to learn. I am dedicated to helping my students stay excited and motivated, and to help them become the best musician they can be. The sky is the limit!
For younger students who are just beginning, I would start with fun and entertaining warm ups that are designed to develop a strong foundation without relying on complicated terms. We would focus on discovering a joy and love for music and from there will develop a beginner's repertoire. For students who are a little older, I would focus on finding out what they hope to gain from voice lessons, and from there guide their learning in whatever direction they would like. No matter what, I strive to make my lessons enjoyable and engaging!
My main goal isn't just to teach a technical foundation of singing, but an absolute passion for music as a whole. It's important for me to help each of my students realize their own unique potential at their own pace. I will help them each to set their own goals for their learning as well as setting goals for them that will push them to their best. I want to focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment so that my students are excited to come back next week to show me all the progress they've made with their practice. With the right amount of encouragement and a nurturing environment, my students will blossom.
