Overview:
I am an innovator of fine arts and education who is serious about the enrichment of everyone's life through music. I am a graduate from Alabama State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance. I recieved my Master of Arts & Sciences degree in Instructional Design & Technology from Full Sail University. As a member of various performance ensembles throught the southeast, my involvement has provided guidance in my development of ideas on instruction and performance. I am experienced in overseas travel for performance, in which gives me an edge of diversified interaction with aspiring musicians. As your instructor, I will be eager, determined, and enthused in fulfilling the needs of any student or artist seeking guidance in developing their creativity.
EXPERIENCE
My experience of teaching music started as I recieved the opportunity to be a student teacher at an elementary school in Montgomery, Alabama. I used this time to help students become interested in learning about music through; presenting various instruments for the class to observe and using creative teaching methods that include music for an easier comprehension tool with their school work. I am also able to relate to students that are older and those who are adults. My experience of being a section leader through college and performing alongside other professional musicians gives me the ability to create concepts for advanced learning. Music is my passion and I really appreciate the opportunity MUSIKA teachers has given me to enrich others lives through music.
METHODS USED
My method of teaching differs upon each student. I am well rounded for diverse environments, genders, and ages. I use the Standards of Excellence method books for those who are looking for a formal/structured way of learning. For those who are looking for a little less casual way of learning, I use concepts that include different genres of music that include but are not limited to; jazz, classical, contemporary, and pop music as a method that gives students their own creative learning experience.
LESSON STYLE
I create an environment for my students that is stress free and is open for creative minds to express to me how they want to go about learning music. I take those ideas and use them to create an objective lesson plan of which we can build upon together for a fun, informative, and memorable experience in learning about music and their instrument. I have always enjoyed that fact that I made a contribution to people's lives by having them involved with music. I understand the type of impact music can have on an individual and I am always more than pleased to enlighten someone about this impact.

First thing, Nate has a great personality and very thoughtful in his process of play the trumpet. As an older student and new to the trumpet. Nate put me to easy in playing. I would say he's would be a great instructor for all students at any age.
