In 2011, I graduated from University of Nis, Serbia with a Bachelor's degree in General Music Pedagogy. I'm a very patient and motivated instructor who loves working with students.
I have been teaching private piano lessons for the last 5 years in the USA and Serbia, and have been consistently teaching students in Rhythm School of Dance and Music, Niles, IL, for the last 2 years. I'm passionate about making sure every student has what they need to become an independent musician, and I strive to get each student to reach their personal goals, whether it is to play for enjoyment or to make piano their career. With my teaching style, students not only learn music theory and musicianship, but they also learn important skills such as self-discipline. I encourage my students to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own music.
For beginning students, I usually start with The Rusian School of playing, book 1, combined with some easy traditional songs. When the student has progressed, I will begin to introduce classical repertoire. I'm always trying to choose the right compositions for my students, depending on their interests.
Nothing is more important than seeing your students progress in their playing. I make sure that every lesson is fun and interesting for my students so they can learn faster and be inspired to practice even when they go home. I'm trying to find out what inspires the students so we can always have a successful lesson.
