Overview:
I have been a musician for over 35 years. I have played all over the united states for concerts, different private occasions, weddings, birthday parties, and funerals . I have also been a music teacher for over 15 years and my students love my teaching style. When I was young I had the best private music teachers in New York that have pass on the knowledge and tradition of good music habits. My role and responsibility is to pass on this knowledge to those that want to be the best musicians in their area.
EXPERIENCE
- I have been playing Violin and Trumpet for over 35 years. I also play many other instruments and have a love of teaching classical music. - I was a student at the Brooklyn Conservatory of music, Henry Street Settlement in New York and a student of many private teachers. - I have been a private teacher and a conductor of many Church Orchestras for over 20 years. - I am currently teaching many students privately - I am the Orchestra Conductor at two different churches in Long Island and Far Rock-away New York. - I have helped many students pass their orchestra entrance auditions.
METHODS USED
MUSIC SHOULD AND MUST ALWAYS BE FUN. My Teaching style is relax but very educational. I use lots of examples and stories to get my point across. We can also view youtube videos, old recording of performance, and advance music technique books to learn. I teach by example. I will play and show you how to do it step by step at your own pace. I let the student learn at their own speed without any pressure or rush. Each student will get a Professional tailor made lesson for him or her. I am more interested in what the student wants to learn.
LESSON STYLE
I am very flexible in my method; My Teaching Style is relax. I let the student decide what they want to learn. This is the best way to keep each student motivated and improving their technique. I let the student learn at their own pace. Each student will get a Professional tailor made lesson. That is the biggest advantage of a private lesson. I will teach you all I know. Learning music must be fun for both the student and the teacher. I am the favorite music teacher of most of my students because they learn more when they are in control of the learning process.
