After starting piano performance at age 12 and music composition at age 14, I shortly graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2012 with a Music Composition/Theory degree and have composed nearly 4 hours of Symphonies, Concertos, Soundtracks, Jazz Combos, Woodwind Ensembles, Choral works, World musics, and other forms of Postmodernism. Since Post-Graduation, I've been taking composition lessons with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra composer William Hill, and is composing his Third Symphony.
My teaching experience began when I was a freshman in college, and has converted to a full time position a few months after graduation. I also compose soundtracks and art mediums for local artists in Denver, Colorado, and have been fervently composing new forms of artistic expression inspired off teaching new students in Colorado.
My method is definitively circumstantial to the student. If the student is hoping to perform casually, then we advance at a casual pace. If the student is hoping to perform competitively, we go much faster. Either way, I hope to transfer the art into a lens that grabs the student's heart and attention, since propelling the art - regardless of life circumstance - is my primary ambition.
My job is to make the student love and eager to play music. That has - hands down - been the best method to encourage students to practice their instrument in my experience. My passion for music has always been exceptional, and my goal is to reflect on my students.
