I have been teaching for several years. I love touring and performing, but learned that a lot of satisfaction comes from teaching new music students and passing on the musical tradition. I personally have taken lessons since I was 10. I am most proficient at bass guitar, but also love playing and teaching piano and guitar. My focus when it comes to teaching is giving students the tools to compose their own songs or to accurately play songs by other artists. I teach in hopes to grow your musical skills and your character.

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. At all levels a focus on understanding of music theory will be taught in order to make the student a well rounded musician.
