Hello! My name is Nikita and I am the violin, viola and guitar instructor with 13 years of teaching experience. I work with international students of all ages and at every skill level. So I am fully committed to the entire range of musical education. Have you been contemplating professional music lessons? You have found the right teacher! I acquired a Masters's Degree in 2011 in the St. Petersburg State Music Conservatory of Russia. For over 20 years of my musical study and career I was not only teaching, but successfully performing in numerous concerts and recitals as a solo/chamber/ensemle and symphony orchestra performer. I am also a recipient of various awards for republic and international competitions, amongst which are the V International Competition, Ukraine, and XXXIII Republic Competition, Kazakhstan. Since entering music school at the age of five, I continued my training in various institutions of Kazakhstan, Germany, and Russia, culminating twenty years later with a Master’s Degree from the world-famous Saint Petersburg State Conservatory of Russia. For the last thirteen years I have been working as a private instructor of violin, viola, and guitar, conventionally as well as online, with students of all ages and all skill levels. To be honest – teaching music and music itself are not only my passions, but are my life. In engaging all types of learners, I individualize lessons by constantly modifying and accommodating materials. At all times I am committed to encouraging my students to strive for excellence not only musically, but in every area of life. My deep experience in teaching also shows that for the best results my students have to enjoy the entire process. That is why my lessons are always easy to understand, interesting and fun.I really cannot wait to meet you and would love to have an opportunity to assist in your growth and development in the musical arts.
So what will you learn? First of all it depends on your level, of course. If you are just starting out – I will provide you or your child with a strong foundation which will give you the ability to progress much more quickly. The basics of music theory are taught as an integrated element of each lesson time. This will help you understand the entire learning process and will further accelerate your progress. If you are an advanced or even professional performer you will gain from me great support and invaluable tips and secrets of developing your skills and techniques, passed on to me from some of the best world-famous teachers. Legato/detacher, staccato, ricochet, apoyando, tirando, vibrato, fingering, positioning, arpeggios, double notes, chords, pizzicato, left hand pizzicato, flageolets or double flageolets, dynamics, basic and advanced music theory, arrangements, professional performing…anything -- just name it.
As I always like to say: if you are already investing your precious time in doing something, why not do it the best way? After many years I still receive expressions of gratitude and warm regards from my former students – that’s what makes my life worthwhile and brings me so much joy! Why? Because I always create an inclusive and respectful environment that fosters growth, awareness of self and others, and scholastic achievements for students no matter wich ages, levels and learning abilities they have. I am always finding the way to each student's own particular learning style and personality in my approach to them, and keep encouraging my students to stretch themselves to the next level, all the while maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere to the lessons.
