Teaching piano is my passion and I always strive to give personal attention to each and every student. I especially enjoy helping students develop their love of piano playing and their piano skills and watching them reap the benefits of their hard work and dedication I am active in participating and attending convention as hosted by the Music Teachers Association of California and other teacher's workshop in town and other workshops hosted by the Music publishers and well known composers. I am active in various recitals show casing my students. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education ( Music Theory and Piano performance).
I have a 20+ years experience in teaching piano, and a classroom Music teacher as well. Music Theory is my forte and started to develop reading skills and teaching with the aid of technology. I started playing piano in our church when I was in 6th grade, that's when I realized that Everyone has a talent of something they can contribute to the world, It is also important to know that we are all given different talents to use at different times. Encouraging students to give out their best and motivate them to go far and beyond to the best they can. “Education is a lifelong process," The more education you have, the more value you are able to create." My desire is to impart knowledge by focusing on my student’s individual needs and abilities and tailoring each lesson accordingly.
I always use variety of method books depending on the capability of each student in grasping the instructions. I have a syllabus that I am following base on the Music Teacher's Association syllabus in preparation for a Certificate of Merrit examination. And for those younger students that are not ready yet in taking the Statewide Music examination, a Royal School of Music syllabus is what I am using in order for our studies to be on track.
My teaching method as follows: ( 30 to 45 minutes lesson) Piano lesson at the comfort of my home. One on one personalized tutoring , Music Theory Class , Music reading skills , games , and online testing with the aid of technology.
