Overview:
Hello everyone, My name is Pedram, and I hold a bachelor degree in music composition from the University of Oregon. My professional history includes positions such as the First Prize Winner at the 2017 International Frost Composition Competition as well as Third Prize winner at the 2016 International Golden Key Composition Competition. Although my degree is in Music composition, I have a huge history as a performance artist both as a pianist and as aconductor. Most recently, my responsibilities as an Orchestra Director, Orchestral Conductor, Director of the TaiHei Ensemble, music instructor, pianist, and composer match the qualifications you might be seeking in a decent music teacher. As an music instructor my responsibilities included teaching students and meeting with parents on weekly basis and update them on the progress of the lessons, find new methods that fit best for every student, and record music with students and email them the recordings. Also, I assisted in the successful completion of the Pacific Northwest Contemporary Orchestra Project. For this project I had the privilege of being the co-founder, co-director, and the conductor of the orchestra. Some of my responsibilities for this project included recruiting 50 musicians to assemble the orchestra, do a call for scores, create an email and filing system for the orchestra, communicate with the performers and composers through email on daily basis, reserve rehearsal space, reserve concert venue, create rehearsal schedule, meet with composers individually, reserve percussion instruments and pianos as needed, advertising, provide parts and anything needed for the performers, communicating information to the members of the orchestra and rehearse with them the newly composed pieces, provide food for the rehearsals, and being available for the composers and all the members of the orchestra 24/7 for any help or assistance they needed.

METHODS USED
I don't have a fixed method that I use on my students. As every student is different, I adopt and form a teaching method and style based on the student. For the first lesson, I try to learn as much about the student as possible so I can form a method and style for that student. For some students I might use multiple methods. For example, I might use color coding method, or one of the many analysis methods to help them understand the piece they are working on better. On some others I may use both color coding and analysis.
LESSON STYLE
My number one goal as a teacher is to help my students develop as musicians and give them the tools they need to reach their goals as musicians. I don't have a fixed method that I use on my students. As every student is different, I adopt and form a teaching method and style based on the student. For the first lesson, I try to learn as much about the student as possible so I can form a method and style for that student. For some students I might use multiple methods.
