Overview:
I am a motivated instructor who loves working with people who love music. I have been a performing musician since I was a child, growing up in a musical family in New Mexico. I have since traveled the US performing many different kinds of music. I currently perform in an Irish and Classic Rock band all over the South Side of Chicago. I studied music and marched in the marching band at New Mexico State University. I have performed many different genres of music including Rock, Funk, Blues, Country, Irish and more.
EXPERIENCE
I have been playing and performing music with my family since the age of 6. I have recently moved to the South Side of Chicago where I perform with an Irish band on the south side of Chicago. My teaching style comes from real world and real life experience. I can teach any serious students from beginners to advanced students. I can teach songs or technique and theory depending on the wants and needs of the student. I have performed in many different places playing any different kinds of music since a very young age.
METHODS USED
I will begin by finding out what the student wants to accomplish. My style and methods are tailored to the individual. I have performed with many cover bands and can show you how to play many songs and can also show how to learn songs using sheet music or just by ear. I can also help develop more advanced students with techniques, tricks and theory to expand your musical horizons and performing abilities. I am interested in working with serious individuals who share a love and respect for music.
LESSON STYLE
I am interested in students who are serious and are wiling to put in work and practice. I can work with you to find out where you want to be musically. I can work with beginners to help them decide what they want to do. I can also work with more advanced students to further their playing abilities and become working musicians. There is more to becoming a working musician than just playing an instrument and I am willing to share that information with the motivated student. Whether you are a beginner just getting started, or an advanced player looking to get better, I can help.
