I am a piano instructor who is always passionate and excited about teaching the art of playing the piano. Since 2007 till now, I always love to monitor the little weekly progress of my students turn into a huge development in their musicianship. I grew up playing Bach, Beethoven, and a variety of classical composer. In my teens I started learning all the pop songs, and playing with a variety of cover bands, and church choirs in Egypt. Since I moved to the United States in 2012, I started playing jazz. My teaching experience reflects all my musical background which includes classical, pop, jazz, an music theory. So if you are passionate, and the time to learn the instrument, my studio will be the place for you.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE My teaching experience started in 2007 with teaching young kids from our youth meeting in church. Now I am teaching in my home studio in Belleville, NJ since 2016. With more than 10 years experience, I love working with new students of all ages. I use a curriculum developed by Mrs, Irina Gorin which specialize in kids from 4-6 years. Her method is based on involving both the students and the parents in the piano learning experience. My curriculum is balanced between music reading, ear training, music theory and technique. These are the basic element of musicianship that will allow any student to read classical music, and play pop songs by ear. In general, My teaching method depend on having fun in the lesson, and discipline in home practice.
Classical: Irina Gorin Books which is suitable for kids 4-6 years old Then I explore the classical repertoire. Jazz theory: Own developed curriculum Pop songs: Same as Jazz theory. The only difference is the repertoire of songs explored For intermediate- advanced students I work on developing their favorite music styles and songs. I like to help the student self practice and self understand music. I encourage them when they show interest in practice. Award them (if they are little kids) for developing good routines during the lesson and during home practice.
