8 Distinctions in Music from The Royal Schools of Music , London
My name is Quinson and I love teaching the piano. It is my aim to help all my students to be extraordinary regardless of whether or not they've played the piano before, I want to make my students' dreams come true. I've taught over 271 students how to play the piano, and over 500 students music theory.
I absolutely love teaching the piano. I've taught kindergarten level students all the way up to 72 year olds. I've been teaching the piano for 7 years. During this time I've taught over 271 students how to play the piano, and over 500 students music theory. It's my goal to make sure that you reach the level of success on the piano that you desire. In fact, it was for this purpose that I was hired by a music school. I only taught the advanced students at this time for a while because they knew that I could get them the skills and experience that they needed on the piano to do well in the international arena. It is this same level of skill that I bring to the table now.
Generally, my teaching style depends on the student. Why is that? Everyone is unique, and everyone learns differently. It would be absolutely foolish of me to ever think that I can use one teaching method or style for each and every student. So I teach based on the student's learning style and predispositions. Also I tend to do alot of finger techniques as well as aural training, because I believe even though music reading is essential, it does you no good if you can't respond musically to the sounds and the nuances of your environment. I guess what I'm saying here is I teach you how to become a world-class performer. In closing, quite a bit of music theory is done to establish you on the piano.
Again, it's about you and how far and how great you want to be on the piano. Nothing is more rewarding for me than seeing your dreams come true. So while we learn music theory and finger techniques and skills that will make you into a world-class pianist, I talk to you. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced students all need the same thing, a teacher that listens and acts accordingly to ensure the very best future outcomes on the instrument.
