I have over 10 years of experience playing the violin and about 5 years of experience teaching! Since the day I picked up the violin I fell in love with it and decided I wanted to become a teacher. Throughout the years I have had the chance to be able to play in multiple orchestras, chambers groups, and mariachi groups around California. I teach classical music from the baroque era to contemporary music, mariachi, and even pop music if desired! I always enjoy meeting new students of all ages and different levels of playing. In addition I can teach in English and Spanish!
My method of teaching is simple. My first step is to determine the student's playing level by asking them to play something they like, it can be anything! My second step is to ask them what they want to learn, what they want to accomplish with music, and their life goals. After we have gone through this diagnosis we proceed to schedule regular weekly lesson either in person or online, or hybrid. I will also incorporate end-of-year recitals to make them feel comfortable performing to people. We love parents to attend these concerts!
My teaching style is fun, intriguing, and never boring nor dry. I believe that music lessons should never feel like a shore, instead they should stimulate your brain! I want all of my students to be able to ask questions without them feeling shy. Music is magical and intangible which means we can only feel it through our ears, soul, and heart, and that's why I teach my students to be able to appreciate music the best they can through my teaching methods. I will teach you how to play and listen to music!
