I graduated from Central Conservatory of Music of China with a Bachelor of Music Degree in French Horn Performance. I got my master's from The Boston Conservatory of Music in French Horn Performance. I also got a Graduate Performance Diploma in French Horn at The Boston Conservatory. I've had hundreds of performances as a guest musician with China NCPA (National Center for the Performing Arts) Orchestra and played six concerts in America, including Chicago Symphony Center, Stern Auditorium Carnegie Hall, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Davies Symphony Hall, and HillAuditorium, University of Michigan.
My teaching experience dates back to my undergraduate days. As a French Horn teacher, I teach multiple schools in China. As a piano teacher, I coached elementary and middle school students on basic techniques of playing French horn, like articulations, scales, essential etudes, and orchestral repertoire. I coached elementary students on basic piano skills, like Bayer piano introductory course, Czerny Op. 599, Op. 299, Hanon sixty exercises for the piano, Piano Adventures by Nancy and Randall Faber, John Thompson's Modern Course for the piano and Sonatina album. Right now, I'm teaching piano in the Advent school.

As a horn player, I have a lot of orchestra experience. I joined the China Youth Symphony Orchestra as a freshman in September 2010, which allowed me to improve my professional skills and my ability to work as part of a team. As I've studied at the Boston Conservatory, I've had hundreds of performances in the past two years. I've participated in the BOCO orchestra, brass quartet, brass quintet, opera, contemporary music, wind ensemble, and conductor orchestra. Not only that, I've participated in film score recording at Berklee College of Music. I will give my students (my) patience and enthusiasm in my studio.
I am a patient and an experienced piano and French horn teacher. When I studied in China, my school allowed us to teach elementary school students. I dedicated myself to preparing them for three years, focusing on giving them a strong foundation in instrumental techniques and music theory. From my experience as a teacher, I have found that you must have patience, be encouraging, and give students the confidence to have them succeed. While every student has a different situation, I ensure all my students learn the fundamentals. To help students remember this information, I summarize every lesson and write what they should play and think about for next time. As a teacher, my goal is to teach them how to play their instrument and, when students face challenges, to guide them and give them confidence properly.
