I started clasical piano when I was 3 I played the Fair circut as a child. I then played drums bass and French horn. I can play almost all instruments and write music as well. When I was sixteen I was in a wheelchair in picked up a guitar when I was 16 I'm in my 50s In the 90s I played in two bands. One four years played for 3000 plus to 50 people . The other blues 2yrs seasoned muscians. . After I had a beautiful daughter I stopped. I taught guitar for 4 yrs, then I taught differently. I took aspiring muscians and taught them how to perform live. That was awesome, some of my students are still writing n performing today. I'm so proud to know I'm a piece of that. I'm all music, I'm from the bay area. I started classical piano when I was 3. I can play most instruments. I grabbed a guitar at sixteen and was captivated. Played with a lot of people took a few lessons but from very good teachers. I'm mostly self taught but with a background of theory. I love to write music!! My teaching included that is an important part with me. In the 90s I toured with a rock band I was the only guitarist toured for 3yrs. Also in the 90s I played n a blues band for 2yrs with seasoned musicians. I'm honest compassionate and I'm a guy that speaks with his heart. I taught guitar for about six yrs off n on. I also taught aspiring muscians how to play live. That was awesome, some of my students are really doing great. I'm so proud of them. Age doesn't matter, although I love to teach children they hold the key to our future. I have a paraprofessional certificate to teach kindergarten thru 12th grade. I hope to hear from you soon. Well I have taught of n on for years. Acoustic, mostly electric guitar. I also took aspiring muscians and taught them how to play live. That was so full filling. I toured in 90s two bands 1 was rock the other was blues! Music has been in my life since I was 3. It flows thru me. I also write and teach that as well. I'm currently in one band they are learning. I'm also looking for muscians for project I'm working on. I love teaching especially music. It's the only universisl language and I want to share it with everyone. Let's play!!!
My methods really depends on the student. First I evaluate them what you can do and what you want to do. I never just teach a student a song. There will be theory, I feel you really need to know what note or chord you are playing. It's crucial for later as you learn . So I mix it up usally a half hour every week is good some people half hour every two weeks. I can adjust to your needs. So I teach them a song they want to learn. A few measures at a time. Then scales and they have to learn the notes their playing. Aeolin, Dorian etc... Penatonic, diatonic, phrygian etc.... Extended scales 1_7 fingering and technique riffs and jam time.
My style is always open I would say. I'm a geniune guy compassionate and patient, I try to show that with my teaching. Positive encouragement always. I don't critize, I'm more trying to help man. I go the extra mile for you. I love teaching it's so full filling. Especially children they are our future, it's the best thing you could ever do for your child. Alot of positive regonition with me. Try to make it easy as I can but my students leave me ready to play. You will b able to play any style. Anyone's song and most important write your own song. Let's play
