Overview:
Music and teaching is the greatest passion in my life and is taking me places that I have never dreamed of. I started off self taught as a younger guitarist then overtime I took up professional teachings from a jazz instructor at the University as well as various lessons from other styled guitarist in my area which has greatly shaped my sound and teaching abilities. I currently reside in the Chicago area and hope to take my lessons and teaching to the next level because it’s my passion and I love teaching. For me teaching is an artform.
EXPERIENCE
My teaching experience dates back to my younger years where I first started teaching kids ranging from the age of five years old to 10 years old in large groups. This taught me a great deal of concentration diligence and patients which I can think and has aided me in my teaching skills today. Overtime my teaching developed and now I teach students ranging from all ages and all musical background and styles I can definitely say that I am confident in my abilities because it’s a huge passion of mine.
METHODS USED
With each student it varies. I usually start by getting to know the student in finding out the key points that they are trying to achieve and work on. After that I go in depth by showing them hands on techniques and styles that will help improve their plane as well as music theory concepts that will improve their writing abilities and song structure style. Each student is different in their own way of learning so I vary my teaching based off of that. My students always leave satisfied with a great experience!
LESSON STYLE
I believe that every student learns differently in their own way because no one is born the same so I base my teaching methods off that. Every lesson plan is based off key points that the student is trying to achieve and every week pushing their limits little by little so they’re always improving gradually. What’s the student feels comfortable where they’re at I begin diving into deeper subjects and more advanced techniques. I can say that I have successfully taught students and brought them to the level that they were expecting to be at with ease! I
