WHAT'S UP! Welcome to JAM BAND. My name is Robbie A and I've been playing guitar for 15 years. I've toured locally, as well as regionally playing guitar, bass, and drums. I'd love to help you learn one of more of these incredible instruments. It's something you'll cherish your whole life and something you can teach to someone else one day. I'll never forget seeing Keith urban on stage for the first time or watching Aaron Gillespie play drums. Watching both of them sing and play at the same time was mind blowing. Just a few years later I was doing the same thing, and so can you! Let's get started!
My teaching experience starts in High School, as I began teaching kids around campus lessons, and have been consistently teaching students in my home state of Florida for the last 10 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger and older students, as I say its all about what you put into it! If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. I'm always looking to bring on new students of all ages!
We start from the basics and work our way up! We go at a pace you're comfortable with so whether you have plenty of time or if you are busy with school and work, we can get you to a PRO level! With my warmups, practicing, and creative methods you'll be playing on your own and creating on you own in a short amount of time. We go through picks, strumming, lead guitar playing and for drummers we start with counting and work our way towards complicated beats and fills! Give me 6 months and I'll give you the knowledge you've been looking for to be well on your way to be becoming a pro player.
It's called JAM BAND. Instead of focusing on reading notes, we focus on learning chords, lead guitar, and songwriting. The same with drums! We start playing the beat at the very first lesson. The goal with this style of teaching is that you can walk into any room and jam with band, no matter what style it is, you can hop right in! Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs..
