I love sharing music. It is probably our greatest gift as human beings, and the most fun activity. I run my own music camp and love nature. I have performed in jazz, folk, rock and original music bands as a first call session player and arranger. I also lead my own original music bands. I graduated Berklee undergrad in 2005 and have taught all levels and ages since then. I came back to the US to attend the first Master's Program at Berklee College of Music and I love sharing my knowledge with both beginners and advance musicians. My greatest asset is taking the student to the next level.
Creating and Directing my own music camp, teaching private instruction to all ages, teaching at Loyola University, Bolivian Conservatory, American Primary and Middle School and giving clinics around Bolivia, has given me the best tools and experience to share music the right way. Musicians of all levels travel from all around South America to study with me. I also have the most popular YouTube Channel for bass lessons in spanish with more than a million views. Aside from teaching and education, I have released two albums as a singer-songwriter. I have led different Jazz and Jazz/Fusion bands and have participated in Rock and Jazz Festivals.
My method is simple, teach the student how to enjoy learning music. Every student learns at a different pace and it is my job to show you the steps you need to get the results you want. For children I have a vast amount of musical games that will make them fall in love with their instruments and music in general. For more advance students, I will focus on your weaknesses, learning repertoire and slowly introduce reading and theory in a simple fun way. The student will usually choose to learn things they want to learn, but I like to slowly introduce the method of learning thru improvisation. Making the instruments part of your being, will let you play whatever you want, in any genre or style.
Kids will play games with music, while more experienced players will learn how to take their playing to the next level. I analyze what you need, and teach YOU to develop exercises to solve problems and constantly improve. I have my own complete design method that I combine with the students needs and musical preferences. I have designed lessons that are fun, will make you love playing and improve on your instrument. The balance between technique, repertoire and rhythm is the fastest way to learn and I'm great at teaching that.
