2013 - Berklee College Of Music - Engineering Scholar Award

Overview:
I am an dedicated guitarist, composer, producer and bandleader from Monson, MA. Graduating with high honors from Berklee School of Music with a degree in both Performance and Music Production and Engineering, I have developed a passion for teaching and sharing the musical knowledge that I have been so fortunate to have acquired. Along with teaching, I spread my focus to include both the creative side of performance and the coordination and execution of many musical projects. I received the Engineering Scholar Award from Berklee, and have produced and engineered a multitude of recording projects of various natures. I am an avid songwriter and will be producing and recording my debut album of jazz/acoustic compositions in spring of 2016. I am the guitarist and bandleader of several groups, including my own band.
EXPERIENCE
My teaching experience has showed me that there is no one "correct" approach to learning guitar or any musical instrument for that matter. There are certainly valuable techniques that can be adopted by every student to help them progress, however each student presents their unique personality and tastes in music. In order to help bring out the student's musical "voice" on his or her particular instrument, my approach to teaching will vary. I have worked with young kids, adults, special needs individuals, and my own peers!
METHODS USED
My methods vary depending on age and ability level, but my ultimate goal is for the student to have a pleasant and engaging experience with music. I want my students to enjoy the process of improving their ability, which I consider a huge role to the overall effectiveness of their time commitment to practice.
LESSON STYLE
My teaching style allows the student to progress at their own natural pace. My goal as a teacher is to provide the student with musical exercises, concepts, and challenges that match their individual musical tastes so he or she will be inspired to make the necessary steps to improve through practice.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
