Overview:
I am a free-spirited teacher and performer who believes that everything meaningful in life comes from unorthodox inspiration. I enjoy eccentric people and places because it makes life so much more interesting! I've lived in several different places such as: Hawaii, Nevada, Texas, California, and I've even lived in the Philippines. I could say I'm pretty "cultured" and I'm able to genuinely connect with a diverse group of people. This has allowed me to explore a variety of music: r&b, pop, hip-hop, gospel, country, rock, classical, contemporary christian, reggae, EDM, musical theater, and genres in-between. As a performer, I've taken lessons of different styles from a notable group of teachers and coaches who are performers as well! I've had the privilege of studying under mentors such as Michael Sirrecchia (multi-award winning director and original cast member of A Chorus Line), Mark Mullino (multi-award winning director and vocal coach), Brian Schexnayder (known for his role in Turandot and The Metropolitan Opera) , Olivia Emile (Actress, Producer, and Voice Teacher), and Jon Almosara (Independent Music Artist and Vocal Coach). One year after graduating from KD Conservatory, I moved to the Philippines and started my own original band called Alchemy Band. We performed several times a week at local venues. Most of the band members were full-time college students and due to the overwhelming workload, some of the members could no longer keep up with performance demand. I was simultaneously performing with a well-known girl-group called SILK Party Band and eventually became a full-time member performing "Top 40" hits from the 70's to current, 6-7 times a week all over the Philippines. Because of visa complications, I had to return to the US a year later and I have since then been writing my own music and honing my skills as an artist and vocal coach.
EXPERIENCE
Vocal coaching as a profession is quite new to me because until just recently I've always focused on my own development as a performer and artist, however, I've often assisted my fellow co-artists, classmates, bandmates, and even friends with improving vocal technique and performance quality. In my college classes, we were encouraged to provide feedback about a classmates performance and I absolutely loved when they would apply my advice and everyone saw a significant improvement in performances thereafter. We also had to sit-in on everyone's vocal lessons so we could understand that each performer requires training that is tailored to their unique style and learning method.
METHODS USED
I prefer to take on students who are considered "intermediate" or at least working toward the intermediate level and advance because I specialize in developing a singer's performance quality. It's important that the student has basic vocal technique training prior to training with me because they'll have a technical foundation and sense of confidence that will allow them to explore (or as I like to call it "play") more of their vocal capabilities. Most people are under the misconception that vocal lessons are a "one size fits all" and this can do more harm than good for serious professionals and aspiring artists. With that said, there is no general "method" I use for students. I assess their vocal style, range, and technique, then I create a development plan that is unique to each students needs and goals.
LESSON STYLE
It's very important to me that my students and I can connect on a deeper level because artists need a "safe space" to make incredible discoveries that would help them grow and flourish in their craft! I highly encourage and assist all my students in creating their own body of work(lyric writing and song-writing). It's given that every student who takes up vocal lessons is interested in becoming a professional singer. I help students discover how to set themselves apart and create an artist brand. Students must understand that although proper technique and a "nice voice" can get attention, long-term success is greatly determined by how they can create and retain a following, and keep up with a demanding, competitive, and constant-changing industry. Depending on the student's progress, I will give an assessment at a time I see fit where they will perform in front of a group of people (student's friends and family, and other students) that will provide constructive feedback. Once the student is comfortable and has a few original songs to present, they will perform at a public venue and receive audience feedback. This will open up amazing opportunities for growth and networking!

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
