Overview:
I'm very passionate about teaching and love to work with all ages of students.  I had a studio in Mountain Top, PA for 25 years until our family moved to Utah.  I recently relocated to the Lehigh Valley.  I've performed with many orchestras and have coached many students to be able to compete and perform at Carnegie Hall for many years.  I take great pride in being able to teach on an individual basis, meaning I teach according to what the student needs and wants to be taught.
EXPERIENCE
I been playing the piano since age 3 (over 40 years ago!).  Since getting certified, I can play and teach all instruments, with piano being my primary instrument.  I encourage regular practice and strive to coordinate the students' schedule along with musical success.  Parental involvement is essential.  As little as reminding the student to practice daily!  I look forward to meeting new students of all ages!!
METHODS USED
I use a variety of methods for my teaching style.  I usually have a few method books that I bring to a first lesson, and after meeting the student I will decide on the best one.  Once the student has progressed and shows some motivation to be slightly challenged, I'll introduce "popular" music so that the student feels a sense of accomplishment!  Music is associated with movies, radio, etc., so to be able to play something recognizable is exciting for the student and the teacher.
LESSON STYLE
My teaching style revolves around the individual student.  Every student must practice daily and enjoy practicing, so a student's success comes from my encouragement and instruction.  Each student brings a desire to learn how to play an instrument and my goal is to assist them in understanding and being able to play that instrument.  I conistently tailor my instruction to the student's ability and also remain consistent in my standards of teaching.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
