I run a home piano studio and drive to students' homes throughout the greater Milwaukee area. My home studio equipment consists of a full size digital piano with recording capabilities. I also have an extensive piano music library that I regularly lend out to my students.
I have taught several students for a period of four to five months. All of my past students have been elementary-aged children with only one to two years of previous piano lessons. Although working with younger students is my specialty, I have experience teaching studetns at all grade levels and enjoy working with adults as well.
I find that teaching Classical music, especially Romantic piano music, suits my personality and previous piano experiences the best. Even so, I make it a priority to introduce students to as many different musical styles as possible.
Lessons always begin with a brief review over what was covered during the previous lesson and what materials were practiced by the student. New concepts and techniques are modeled by me first. I then provide several opportunities for the student to practice this new idea or skill in a variety of ways. I am also a huge fan of incorporating educational games and activities to maintain students' interest in the lesson.
