Overview:

I am a passionate motivated teacher with over 10 years expierence teaching all ages of students. I have created several teaching methods to accommodate any learning style. I focus my lessons on the goals of the student, factoring in theory and scales in a way that applies to what the student wants to get out of there instrument of choice.

EXPERIENCE

I started teaching private lessons at 16 in a studio in Rhode Island. By the time I started college I was already teaching in 3 separate studios. Once I started attending college for music I found several ways to apply classical and modern styles of playing to help motivate students to continue to learn. I feel the best motivation for students to want to continue to learn, is by example.

METHODS USED

For young students, I start them in beginner books while singing fun songs that motivate them. For older students I pick method books more specific to their age, learning style, and progress while still focusing on key points of interest for the student. After any student gets through some of the basic method books, I switch to Berklee College of Music method books.

LESSON STYLE

I love seeing students of all ages take interest in music. Therefore, the most important goal for me is to ensure they continue to practice. With that in mind, I set realistic practice goals and lessons, individually structured for each specific student.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
