BA, University of the Incarnate Word, Music Industries Studies
Ever since I picked up a guitar at the age of 15, I have been passionate about performing. Earning a music degree came naturally to me, as I have a great appreciation for all genres of music. My band, The Hollowmen, and I have performed at several venues around San Antonio as we work to make our mark in the rock-n-roll scene.
The more exposure I've had to teaching, the more I have grown to love the challenge and opportunity that comes with sharing my passion for music with others. In the past few years, I've had students as young as 7 and as old as 55. In each case, I've been careful to craft a curriculum that meets the interest and ability of each student.
My first lesson with every prospective student is an assessment of the student's interest and ability. From there, each successive lesson builds on current skills. The primary focus of my instruction is to keep the student challenged, while the lessons remain fun.
I always look to adapt my instruction to the needs and desires of the individual student. My instruction is student-centered, so it is adaptable to all ages and ability levels.
