I began teaching bass lessons when I was in high school. I taught bass for 11 years as an adjunct instructor at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. I also worked as a clinician at the UAB Jazz Summit. Many of my students have gone on to play professionally and a few have gone on to become music teachers themselves. The most important aspect to teaching in my opinion is to make sure that the students remain engaged and excited enough to spend the time that will make them successful. Read More

I am 24 years old, and best known as the lead guitar player for rock band Throne Of Eden. While rock and roll is where my heart is, I am a very well-rounded musician. In 2017 I graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelors Degree in Classical Guitar Performance, and a secondary focus in voice. Unlike most guitarist, you could catch me playing styles varying from Mozart to Guns N Roses at the drop of a hat. Read More

For my beginning students I like to start with multiple methods such as simple tabs to teach string use, what I like to call as power chord theory with simple power chord knowledge. I do this because you don't have to worry about major, minor, augmented, or diminished when power chords. I can go ahead start basic theory lessons on this. I also have another where I teach open chords and eventually all my beginning students will get all these lessons before I move on to scales and the 7 positions or as they say modes of each scale. No matter the ability level, the plan of attack is to keep the lessons fun, productive, and furfilling. For beginners, we will stick to fundamentals and essential elements that will give you an edge to succeed and develop. After I see progression, I plan to dig into more advanced elements that will keep your interest. This is really where the students will see results. For intermediate to advanced musicians/learners, I plan to take it up a notch and challenge the students while keeping it fun and attainable. Read More
