For beginning students, I usually start with Piano Adventures curriculum, starting with just the lesson book. Around level two we will add the theory book and if the student shows an eagerness for more songs, the performance book as well. Around level four I will also add the technique and artistry book. The reward of teaching is seeing a student progress and gain the skills needed to propel themselves forward musically. I work hard to help students develop and cultivate their passion for music and playing music well for others. Nothing is more important in music than finding love and joy for playing one's instrument. I don't believe there is nothing is better than having a student who has achieved a goal. So it is so important for me that my student progress at a rate that is fun, yet challenging. I believe goals should be realistic and tangible. We should discuss plans together on what kind of player they want to be. Then I tailor their lessons to them.
