For voice students, I tailor my lesson plans to each students individual goals. For students pursuing classical lesson, I would start with repertoire from "25 Italian Songs and Arias." For more advanced students, I would find repertoire that fit their voice type from operas, or aria books. I will admit will full confidence that I am the type of teacher to keep it laid back and casual, but will not let my student stop giving me their full effort. If anything, they will be disappointing themself in the future, and I refuse to allow that to happen.
