I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music and vocal health. I graduated most recently from the University of North Texas with a doctorate degree in vocal performance. I am currently a PhD student there focusing on Performing Arts Health. I have had the opportunity to study and perform many styles of music all over the country and world, and look forward to sharing my knowledge with others. Read More

I feel that creating a freestyle/open studio environment with the ability to diversify their talents into different areas is true to what makes music what it is. In other terms, I will teach multiple instruments to a student within a lesson if they so choose to(with keeping progress in mind). I call this method "Teaching one to be an Artist through self-discovery". With my background in live performances and multi-instrumental skills, I can offer a unique and liberating experience for a student who truly wants to dive deep into what music has to offer as a whole. I have grown up with music since I was a young child and discovered that it was my future career when I was in middle school, having not looked back sense. Hi I'm Kyle, a current jazz studies major at the University of Arkansas. I have been playing electric bass for about nine years and I also have experience with guitar, drums, voice, and mandolin. I started off playing rock and other adjacent genres, but quickly moved more towards jazz. For piano students I usually use Piano Adventures method books while supplementing with scales, pop and classical repertoire, theory, ear training, history and more. For ukulele and guitar we focus on strumming patterns, rhythm, chords, and repertoire anywhere from rock or pop to classical.
