Once that has been determined, I make sure the student understands basic fundamentals of music using the Suzuki method, or the Feierabend method, depending on how old the student is. I feel that creating a freestyle/open studio environment with the ability to diversify their talents into different areas is true to what makes music what it is. In other terms, I will teach multiple instruments to a student within a lesson if they so choose to(with keeping progress in mind).
