For beginner students, I usually start with a curriculum such as James Bastien and as they learn the fundamentals, we begin learning more challenging classical pieces. For older beginners, I like to start with Faber Adventures because it moves along at a faster pace than James Bastien. Once the older students have grasped the basics, we leave behind all books and learn pieces of interest to them.
