I like to see where each student's natural talents and personal desires are headed and act as a servant leader to get them there. Students are encouraged to pursue music in the way that will keep them engaged reaping maximum benefits whether that be to build parts of their brain that would have otherwise lie dormant, or become the best solo performer they can be. Depending on the students level, I will focus on a certain range of scales to build strength. The first few lessons are spent learning about one another and giving/getting feedback on what the student liked or didn't like. This is very important to me, as I want to establish long-standing musicians! I also try to establish a vocal goal each month. We will then gradually increase that range while working on songs for a show, an upcoming gig, that big recital, or just for fun! Read More

I took on my first students when i was still in high school and have been teaching ever since. I have had several studios throughout the years in different places that I have lived. I enjoy teaching different styles of music and encouraging my students to listen to and try playing new things. I like to keep things fun and entertaining.
