I took on my first students when i was still in high school and have been teaching ever since. I have had several studios throughout the years in different places that I have lived. I enjoy teaching different styles of music and encouraging my students to listen to and try playing new things. I like to keep things fun and entertaining. My playing experience dates back over ten years while my teaching experience dates back four years. I have had the opportunity to travel to Europe and South America to perform with symphony orchestras. I spent my college days making extra spending cash playing in weddings and small events. Depending on the students level, I will focus on a certain range of scales to build strength. The first few lessons are spent learning about one another and giving/getting feedback on what the student liked or didn't like. This is very important to me, as I want to establish long-standing musicians! I also try to establish a vocal goal each month. We will then gradually increase that range while working on songs for a show, an upcoming gig, that big recital, or just for fun! Read More
