My experience teaching dates back to the beginning of my college career in 2014. A majority of my students have ranged from brand new players to an intermediate level, but I am willing and enthusiastic about teaching players of all levels! Additionally, I have taught a diverse age range; from 4 years olds to adults. Depending on the students level, I will focus on a certain range of scales to build strength. The first few lessons are spent learning about one another and giving/getting feedback on what the student liked or didn't like. This is very important to me, as I want to establish long-standing musicians! I also try to establish a vocal goal each month. We will then gradually increase that range while working on songs for a show, an upcoming gig, that big recital, or just for fun! Read More

Today I will share with you my teaching experience in a few brief general statements: Due to a hearty touring schedule, most of my experience stems from the privilege of masterclasses around the world but mostly America, Germany, and Denmark along with some private teaching. I graduated from Jacobs school of music at IU in 2018 as a Performer diploma student in violin performance studying with Austin Hartman, a member of the Pacifica Quartet. I came to Bloomington a year ago and previously received my Master in music at Nebraska University at Glenn Korff school of music. One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching my students light up when they accomplish their goals. Nothing quite compares to that. I like to challenge them with pieces of music that may be a little beyond their reach, but it gives them something to work towards.
