Hi there! Teaching guitar is my passion. Having played guitar for almost 20 years (!), I'm eager to pass along what I've learned and push students to develop their own love for the instrument. I've sung opera, heavy metal, jazz, bluegrass, lieder, electro-pop and others -- and I've played and written those styles too. I studied music at a high level simply because I couldn't justify studying anything else, because nothing else has mattered more to me. I've been teaching music for 20 years, both in and out of institutional parameters; and I've played in rock and roll bands for longer than that. I began teaching lessons while in high school to friends and other students of varying ages. Having taught in several music shops, I currently teach students from my house or in their own homes, which is why Musika was an attractive company for me.
