As a teacher, my main goal is to distill a love of singing and music into my students. Because of this goal, I always aim to keep lessons fun and engaging. I am a very energetic and enthusiastic teacher, so students can expect to do a lot of smiling and laughing in my studio. We will, however, still take our music making very seriously. I have gotten better, ... but to this day, I am always more comfortable when playing by ear or by memory. I today's world, I don't see that as a problem, and I try to not force sightreading on a student who seems to not have an inclination towards that skill.
