I began teaching private lessons in 1989. My focus is to understand what learning style my students have and base my teaching methods on their individual needs. In college I studied pedagogies (teaching methods) for band, orchestra and majored in vocal and classroom education. Since achieving my degree in teaching kindergarten through 12th grade education, I have worked in Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, and High School settings as well with the elderly. Read More

For beginner trumpeters, I typically start with Hal Leonards Essential Elements and then slowly transition into solo repertoire that suits their skill set as they make it into the intermediate level. As advanced players, we will focus on refining skills with drill books as well as work on standards in solo repertoire. For my vocal students, we will always work on range and flexibility exercises as well as vocal repertoire from multiple genres that suit the skill level of the singer. Read More

Your musical growth is the most important thing. I try not to talk too much at our lessons. Most of the time I will show you what to do, help you learn how to do it and then let you practice the new skill(s) all week for our next lesson. Consistent effort is the key, both for you and for me. You'll need to practice and I need to keep things comfortable, challenging and enjoyable for you. Read More

I then like to move into books that focus more on different aspects of playing such as Charlier, Vizutti, Brandt, and Orchestral Excerpt books meant for Smphony auditions. Read More

Hello, my Name is Aristides, I am a passionate performer, instructor, and musician. I love all genres, and love a challenge. I have performed Latin music, swing, Pop, Classical, and various other genres. I graduated in 2016 from the University of central Florida with a (BM) Bachelors in performance. I've performed in the Ocean Center (Convention Center in Daytona),, and in various venues. I also believe that the student needs to be engaged, and challenged in their musicality by calling them to a higher technique within their abilities to perform. Read More
