I want to make sure that my students are enjoying the lessons and are able to take something away from as many lessons as possible. Keeping their interest is important, therefore I make sure to ask questions to clarify what we would be working on. I also make sure to get their feedback often to ensure that retention and appeal is not affected negatively from lesson to lesson. I love music and I love teaching. I went to college to study Music and Theatre. After school, I toured the US and parts of the world for nine years in the vocal group Chapter 6. We were the youngest group ever to win the National Harmony Sweepstakes competition and the only group to ever win it and the International Championship of Collegiate A cappella. I can come up with suggestions as much as you'd like, but my favorite lessons are the ones where a student has his or her own goal, and I'm able to help them achieve this goal in some way.
